Hauntings on the Hill with the IRC
As new connections formed through the Residential College Coalition, I helped lead an IRC excursion to Brown Residential College’s annual Hauntings on the Hill on October 25.

The trip brought the single largest group Brown had hosted for the event, and our visit was met with a special surprise. Brown’s organizers prepared a unique "IRC spooktacular" narrative just for our group, turning the experience into something both theatrical and personal (very personal might I add… we were roasted, broiled, and charred in one go!). The effort reflected the growing collaboration and goodwill between residential colleges fostered through the RCC.
After the event, the night continued with a group wander across Grounds in the dark. Along the way, I gave an impromptu architecture history tour, pointing out buildings, stories, and details that often fade into the background during the day. What started as a haunted house visit ended as a shared exploration of place, tradition, and campus after hours, blending storytelling, history, and community in a way that felt uniquely UVA.
